Regular eye examinations are more than just a careful examination of your vision. They're an essential check on the health of your eyes. A general eye test is recommended every 2 years or 12 monthly if you have diabetes or any other eye/health condition that may require more regular attention

A comprehensive eye test takes about 20 – 30 minutes. If you feel you have very complex requirements for your eyes, it would be advisable to let us know when you book your eye exam, and we can ensure additional time is allocated.

Contact lenses are a comfortable, convenient alternative to glasses. The best contact lenses only cost about a dollar or two a day, so they really are an affordable option to complement your glasses. They're easy to put in and made out of oxygen breathable materials.

A contact lens consult is conducted or more commonly as a stand alone consultation. We assess if you're suitable for contact lenses according to your prescription and work and leisure needs. We tailor a contact lens solution that is just right for you and your eye health.

If you are a first-time wearer to contact lenses, we'll teach you how to insert and remove contact lenses, as well as provide instructions on care and maintenance for your eyes and contact lenses. We'll always ensure that you're comfortable and confident with your contact lenses before we let you leave.

Children may not realise they're having vision problems. Every child should have their eyes tested before they start primary school and then around once a year for any subtle issues that may cause problems with their vision.

Choosing the appropriate lens design is where things can become very confusing.  There are many different brands, designs and coatings to choose from.  This is where our optometrists and optical dispensers excel.  Part of their expertise is in matching the best possible lens design to your unique requirements. Sometimes this may mean more than one pair of glasses is required, especially if you work in an office environment.

The perfect pair of glasses is custom made specifically for the individual to maximise both vision and comfort.  There are many lens designs that you can choose from, depending on your unique needs.

The most important aspect of eyeglasses is that they allow us to see. After all why do we choose to wear eyeglasses to begin with?  Having the right lenses prescribed is the first step towards that perfect pair of glasses. Your optometrist will measure your eyes carefully to determine the best possible correction for you.
